The precise meaning
If SOL has not appeared, compare the sender record with the Solana transaction and the exact Phantom account. Do not repeat the payment just to test it.
In this guide: contents & sources
If your Solana transfer has not appeared in Phantom, compare the sender's transaction signature, the Solana network and the full receiving address. A withdrawal entry, an on-chain transfer and a displayed wallet balance are separate records. Buying or sending more SOL will not explain the first payment.
This guide is for a transfer you have already requested. It helps choose the next check; it cannot inspect your account, reverse a transfer or promise an arrival time. The SOL buying guide covers funding and the earlier purchase instead.
Identify which stage has actually finished
Save the withdrawal reference and transaction signature separately. In an exchange status screen, a word such as 'complete' needs an on-chain record before it can answer where the SOL went.
| Record you can see | What it establishes | Next check |
|---|---|---|
| Exchange request, no transaction signature | An account-side request; not independent proof of delivery. | Read the sender activity and ask its official support for the on-chain record. |
| Signature with an execution error | A transaction record with a failure. | Check the error and sender record before any retry. |
| Successful transaction, different recipient | The record does not establish delivery to your intended account. | Compare the full recipient with the account you selected. |
| Successful SOL transfer to the correct account | On-chain evidence to investigate a display discrepancy. | Inspect the transferred asset, amount and currently selected Phantom account. |
Compare the account and the Solana receive address
In Phantom, open Receive and select the account and Solana network you intended to use. Compare the entire address with the recipient in the sender's record. A different account can have a different balance even inside the same wallet app.
If your version of Phantom shows separate Tokens and Cash receive tabs, use the Solana Tokens address for native SOL. Phantom's current Cash instructions accept specified Solana stablecoins, not SOL. If you already sent SOL there, use its official Cash-asset recovery instructions; do not assume another payment will fix it.
Read the transaction, not only the balance
Look up the signature in a Solana explorer on the correct network. Check execution errors and the transfer details, including asset and recipient. A successful swap or account operation is not automatically the native-SOL payment you were expecting.
Solana exposes processed, confirmed and finalized states separately. A processed record alone is not the same as finalized confirmation. Its status API also searches a limited recent cache unless transaction-history search is enabled. One missing lookup is not proof that an older transfer never existed.
| Finding | Useful response |
|---|---|
| Still processing or not finalized | Follow that same signature and the sender status; do not create a second payment just to hurry the first. |
| Execution failed | Use the actual error and sender policy to decide what happens next. Failed transactions can still incur network fees. |
| No record found | Recheck signature, network and history coverage, then ask the sender for evidence. |
| Correct successful SOL transfer | Investigate wallet account selection and the receiving amount rather than repeating the transfer. |
Successful on chain, still not visible?
Phantom's missing-token guide separates on-chain delivery from wallet display. After checking the exact account and recipient, follow its visibility troubleshooting if applicable. A hidden or similarly named token is not evidence of a missing native-SOL payment.
Compare the sent and received coin amounts, not just their CAD presentation. The sender's withdrawal deduction and the blockchain transaction fee are different entries; use what your own records show.
Build one useful support record
When sender evidence and the explorer disagree, contact the sender through its own official support route. When the chain record matches the intended address but display differs, use Phantom's support instructions. Keep one timeline so a reply does not mix two transfers.
Before a later attempt, return to the SOL buying guide for funding and withdrawal checks. For the CAD value of a recorded amount, the existing price workbench estimates value; it does not validate delivery.
- Sending service and its withdrawal reference.
- Solana transaction signature, if supplied, and the explorer result you checked.
- Full public receiving address, selected account and asset.
- Requested and recorded amounts, deductions and approximate time with time zone.
A few loose ends
Common questions
The exchange says complete. Why is SOL missing?
Compare that entry with a transaction signature and the exact receiving address. An account-side label does not replace the chain record.
Should I send another small payment?
First reconcile the original records. A new transfer cannot repair a wrong recipient or explain where the first payment went.
Does an empty explorer search prove nothing was sent?
Not by itself. Recheck network, signature and history coverage, then request the sender record.
Can I use a Phantom Cash address for SOL?
Phantom's current Cash instructions list supported Solana stablecoins. Native SOL belongs at the Solana Tokens receive address. Follow its official recovery instructions if you used Cash by mistake.
