Our approach
Why Kettlecorn exists.
How the site works.
Kettlecorn helps you understand buying, holding and selling crypto. Read a guide, look up a coin or pool price, or try a calculation with your own figures. Each tool explains where its numbers come from and what the result can tell you.
See what changes your result
A different token count, fee or planned sell price can change a calculation. The tools show the formula and let you compare your own examples. The learning library explains the terms and checks around the calculation.
Check the source
The guides link to platform and network documentation. Their check date shows when the information was last checked. Rules can change after that date.
Before you send money, confirm the asset, network, fees and restrictions with the platform involved. A guide cannot replace that final check.
Know which numbers come from a source
The pool reader requests DexScreener data when you ask. The coin price page shows CoinLore prices and daily USD history. Both show separate CAD estimates calculated with a dated Bank of Canada daily exchange rate. The retrieval time shows when data was received; it may not show when the provider last updated a price. A displayed figure is not a price you can necessarily trade at, and it does not verify the token.
The calculators use values you enter. Starting numbers are examples; they are not current prices or fees, and they do not predict a return. The network helper compares labels only. It does not check accounts, addresses or a transfer.
Why Kevin and Jessica created Kettlecorn
Kevin Hollis and Jessica Hale are a couple whose interest in crypto grew through their own use of digital assets and learning about blockchain. They found the first steps confusing: fees could be easy to miss, withdrawal rules were unclear, and a platform account was often described as though it were the same thing as a wallet.
They describe their own experience with crypto as financially successful. That is their personal account, not a verified record of investment returns. It does not show what another reader will earn.
They created Kettlecorn to make crypto easier to understand through clear steps, examples and visible risks. The aim is to help readers ask better questions, check the numbers and make their own decisions. Our editorial policy explains the approach to sources and corrections.
Understand the limits
We do not present these guides as personal investment, legal or tax advice. Crypto assets can lose value, stablecoin prices can diverge from their intended peg, and a transfer mistake can be difficult or impossible to reverse.
Kettlecorn does not claim to have tested a service unless a guide includes documented evidence of that test. No wallet connection, account login or payment is required to use these pages.
